Working for the Wild Turkey
spacer
Dear Volunteers,

The Mississippi Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, as a result of the great work of its members, continues to be a tremendous conservation and education force within our state. Our Mission Statement “Conservation of the wild turkey and preservation of our hunting heritage” has proven to be a great course of action.

Through our Hunting Heritage Super Fund Banquets we have been able to put over $1.5 million dollars back into our state for projects that have benefited not only the wild turkey, but many other game and non-game animals on both public and private lands. We have also contributed to and been involved in programs for our JAKES (Youths Acquiring Knowledge Ethics and Sportsmanship), Wheelin’ Sportsman (both adults and youths), Women in the Outdoors, Archery in the Schools, 4-H Shooting Program, Wild Turkey Education Boxes in schools and scholarships for many deserving Mississippi students.

The NWTF goes far beyond being a turkey hunting organization. Our members are true lovers of the outdoors and work hard to help preserve this great gift God has given us. To our members I salute and thank you for what you do! If you are not a member we invite you to be a part of what we are doing to make the Mississippi outdoors a better place to be. You can become a member by attending a Hunting Heritage Banquet in your area or you can contact anyone on the “Chapter Contacts” page and they will welcome the opportunity to assist you.

It is a privilege and an honor to represent the membership of Mississippi. Feel free to contact me at anytime.
